The par five 7th hole is lauded as one of the most spectacular in Europe. The K Club was host to the European Open from 1995 to 2007, a challenging Links inspired course. The complex boasts a luxury five star hotel, with 69 rooms and 19 apartments, set amid 550-acres of beautiful parkland on a mile long private stretch of the River Liffey. A beautifully restored 19th Century Georgian mansion estate, the former Straffan House, it was converted into a luxury hotel and country club in 1991, About 40 miles from Dublin Airport and 20 miles from the city.
