Dooks Golf Club, established in 1889, is one of Ireland’s best attractions off the beaten track Ranked no 16 in the world as one of the best golf courses, no. 8 in the top 10 courses for welcome, no. 6 in the worlds 10 most difficult courses and no 1 in the world in the 10 best value courses, indeed, the Dooks Golf Club is one of Irelands best attractions and it has continued to draw in tourists to its vast and rolling greens.
Found along the Dingle bay with mountains bordering its three sides, the Dooks Golf Club offers a course that combines flat and wide greens on some holes and highly elevated greens on the others.
Its length of 6500 yards is filled with blind shots and trees and contradictory flat and easily visible holes.
Established in 1889, the Dooks Golf Club was promoted by the Royal Horse Artillery to the nearby aristocratic golfers while being stationed and training in the area. It is now one of the oldest golf links in Ireland.

The 18 Holes were opened in 1970, and upgraded in 2006, it’s reputation as a first class course has grown over the years. The clubhouse in it’s present condition was opened in 2005.
The course is laid out on one of the three stretches of sand dunes at the head of Dingle bay. in view of the peninsulas of Rossbeigh and Inch and within a short distance of Cromane fishing village.
It features a stunning variety of gorse, heather and wild flowers and wind is never far away and the narrow genuine sandy fairways and well contoured greens offer you a real taste of traditional golf at its very best, suitable for golfers of all abilities.

This hotel is near many of Kerry’s world famous golf courses, such as Dooks, Killarney, Waterville, Beaufort, Tralee and of course Ballybunion.
